There will be a city council meeting tomorrow night (Thursday, February 1st).
A few things to note:
- There will be a Public Hearing for the Road Utility Fee starting at 6 pm. This is time set aside for the public to come and publically speak to the proposed road fee. If you would like more information on what is being proposed, you can click on the links or watch the videos down below.
- The annexation of property to the east of US-89 is on the action agenda and should have a vote taken on whether or not to annex the property into the city of Kaysville.
- Installation of a Fiber ring connecting the substations and Automatic Utility Readers are both, also, on the action agenda and will have a vote taken in regards to a decision about moving forward with these options.
Let me know if you have any questions about anything on the agenda!

Questions regarding proposed road use fee:
1. Where does Prop 1 money come in that was advertised to be used to improve local roads?
2. Why are multi unit residents paying less? Most have multiple vehicles and make as many trips as single family unit residents?
3. When will this fee be reviewed?
4. What is the process for lowering or raising the fee in the future?
5. Why should we trust Kaysville City government to act in accordance with stated/lawful practices when they have shown no willingness to do so regarding the referendum petition on the Burton Lane rezoning?
